Middle and High School Property in Star, Idaho
Main / Heron River News

On Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at 7:00 p.m., at the City Council Meeting, the Meridian School District will be formally announcing the purchase of property for a Middle School and High School in Star. This is a very big deal. The City has worked for a long time to make this happen and the School District has worked diligently to find and acquire property in Star at the right price and the right location. Its finally happened. Children in elementary school and younger may actually be able to attend Middle or High School in Star. This is very important for our community. Imagine football games in Star track meets in Star High School Band practice in Star -

It’s finally happened.  Children in elementary school and younger may actually be able to attend Middle or High School in Star.  This is very important for our community. I am asking you to notify your friends and neighbors about this landmark event.  As the Chairperson of the School Advisory Committee, and a member of this community, I am asking that people show up in record numbers to attend this meeting to demonstrate the importance of a future High School to the residents of Star.  It would be wonderful if we could have “Standing Room Only” for this portion of the meeting.  The support from the community and the recognition that this is a BIG DEAL is a lasting impression we will want to leave with the School District – we really do want our children to go to school in Star.  Now it’s possible.

If you have an e mail list, please forward this notice to your contacts.  It would be great if we had a huge crowd at the City Hall before 7:00 p.m. A press release will be issued to the Statesman and we hope to have TV coverage of the event.  I will greatly appreciate your efforts to help me spread the word for this very special event.  We encourage people to bring their young children – these are the children that may be attending the High School right here in Star.  Imagine!

Thank you, in advance, for your help and support.  I hope to see you and 600 other people at the City Council meeting on November 18 at 7:00 p.m.
